Details

The Equip Youth Palestine project was launched in 2015 in partnership between CYEE, the International Youth Foundation and the Palestinian Ministry of Labor. The project aimed to build the capacities of Vocational Training Centers to improve young Palestinians’ access to the labor market. For three years, over 900 hundred vocational students from both the West Bank in Gaza were offered training and employment support services, equipping them with the essential skills and attitudes for the workplace. Using the Passport to Success curriculum, an internationally-recognized lifeskills training method, CYEE developed trainings in public speaking, communications, digital skills. We offered career counseling sessions, invited inspirational guest speakers, organized job fairs, and promoted internship opportunities. Experienced Palestinians with innovative ideas were encouraged to start their own business. This comprehensive employment program enables young people to enrich their sets of skills, gain practical experience and in the long run, develop a positive outlook towards employment.
