Tamayyaz empowers young Palestinians to become agents of positive change in their communities, by equipping them with the necessary knowledge, essential skills, positive attitude, rigorous work ethic, practical experience, and professional network to become more employable, or self-employed entrepreneurs. We envisage Tamayyaz and its vocational approach eventually becoming entrenched and self-sustaining in the wider Palestinian education system, with the Tamayyaz curriculum being a standard service offered by educational institutions, and included in their fees. Ultimately, Tamayyaz students will contribute to the well-being of their local communities, their country, and the world.

Gaza presents a specific challenge for CYEE and Tamayyaz

  • With 60% youth unemployment in Gaza, the task is greater than in the West Bank and East Jerusalem, in addition to many restrictions that make traditional business models harder to implement.
  • In recognition of Gaza’s specific needs, a focus is placed on digital and vocational entrepreneurship, and vocational training
  • The wider curriculum is also adapted to be applicable to life in Gaza
  • With our emphasis on partnering with local businesses, the wider economy of the Strip will also be positively affected
